About

My Story.

My name is Adam Pinsley and am a fine artist and brand experience designer from Atlanta, Georgia. I possess a unique blend of experience and expertise in a variety of creative mediums.

As a Brand Experience Designer for Delta Air Lines, I have over twenty years of experience creating distinct connections with consumers that build relationships for a lifetime. I believe that to truly design an experience, each touchpoint throughout the brand journey must be considered carefully and each element should be in the same cohesive voice. Through a holistic approach that blends brand and experience strategy, graphic design, commercial interior design, and marketing communications, I create environments that connect people and brands in an immersive, comprehensive way. I have done extensive brand work and partnered with some great creative agencies in built environments for Delta’s work, community and lifestyle spaces and specialize in visual identity system design and brand thinking strategy with concentrations in airport terminals, corporate headquarters, special event experiences, sports stadiums and entertainment arenas.

However, my true passion and inspiration has always been fine art.

Life as a fine artist.

I was born in New York City in 1970. With a preternatural gift for colors and textures, I began drawing, designing comic strips and murals at the age of 5. Influenced by my mother, a gallery artist herself, as a young child, I became a fixture at the Leo Castelli Gallery and Sydney Janis Gallery in New York City, where I was always enamored and transfixed by the harmonization of mediums that I observed in these gallery works. A harmonization that gives an animated vibrancy to the art I create today.

Growing up in Great Neck on Long Island, I began experimenting in various mediums and often found myself directing my attention to mainstream entertainment and sports related subjects. Inspired by some of my favorite artists Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Patrick Nagel, my pop surreal vision, which balances detail, ambiguity, figurativeness, and abstraction, is quickly earning the respect of art collectors nationwide. The use of black and white outlines to offset bold but strategically placed strokes of bright-unexpected colors captures and adds to the energy and movement of my paintings.

I celebrate contemporary experience and revel in popular imagery, as reflected in the vibrant and exuberant images I have created for celebrities, entertainers, professional athletes, private collectors and companies worldwide.

“Creating art is as much a part of the process as it is the finished art itself.”

Abstract Expressionist painters explore new ways of creating art, reinvigorating and reinventing the medium. They change the nature of painting with their large, abstract canvases, energetic and gestural lines, and new artistic processes. Inspired by perhaps the most well-known Abstract Expressionist artist Jackson Pollock, I moved away from my comfort zone as a Pop Artist and put my own spin on Abstract Expressionism by tapping into the world of commercial aviation. Working at my private studio, The Drip Factory, in the shadow of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, I began experimenting with nontraditional materials, such as commercial-grade aviation aluminum, paint and scrap metal as brushes. These are the very same materials used by major airlines across the world. And that is how Jet Drip art was born.

I am passionate about helping others through my creativity. My greatest joy comes from watching dreams come to life through art, design and creative expression.

When I have time to breathe, I love to coach and play the greatest sport in the world, lacrosse. I have been a Community Lacrosse Coach at Decatur High School for ten years and also play goalie for the Mad Weasels Lacrosse Club and Team Israel Masters. I also serve on the City of Decatur Active Living Board.
